There was a lot of protest among the general public that the private contractor in Jallianwala Bagh has fixed the time of traffic at 9 am and closing time at 8:15 pm which would make daily walkers People are having trouble.
In this regard the District Magistrate Amritsar Mr. Harpreet Singh Sudan exercising the powers vested in him under section 133 of the CRPC and keeping in view the demand of the common man for public walk at 6 am in summer and 7 am in winter.
Orders have been issued for reopening of Jallianwala Bagh and closing of Jallianwala Bagh will be at 8:30 pm.
He said that the slogan of Fit India has been given by the Prime Minister with which a special campaign has been launched for every citizen to keep their health healthy and the common man can keep his health healthy by taking morning and evening walks in Jallianwala Bagh.
Mr. Sudan clarified that Jallianwala Bagh Museum and Gallery would be opened on its scheduled time.
